Actor Dylan Minnette Reveals Why He Left Hollywood for a New Career

The star of the hit Netflix show “13 Reasons Why,” Dylan Minnette, has made a surprising career move by deciding to leave Hollywood behind. Despite finding success in acting, Minnette, who played Clay Jensen in the popular series, revealed on the Zach Sang Show on YouTube that he felt it was time to step back from Hollywood productions.

Minnette, who also appeared in the thriller film “Scream” and the miniseries “The Dropout,” shared that he wanted to focus on his alternative rock band, Wallows. The band, which he started with his friends in 2011, has been releasing music independently since 2017 and signed with Atlantic Records in 2018.

The 27-year-old actor expressed his desire to devote himself fully to his music career, stating, “I feel like I’m in a position now where I can just kind of do that [music] for a while and get this the farthest it can be.” He emphasized the importance of taking his music seriously and giving it his full attention.

While Minnette is currently focused on his music, he hasn’t ruled out a return to acting in the future. He mentioned that he still feels inspired by acting and believes he has more to give in that field. However, for now, his priority is to dedicate himself to his band and see how far they can go.

It’s a bold move for Minnette to leave behind a successful acting career to pursue his passion for music, but it seems like he is excited about the new chapter in his life. Fans will have to wait and see if he decides to make a comeback on the screen in the future.
