Mikaela Hoover and Christopher MacDonald Join Cast of James Gunn’s ‘Superman’
James Gunn is expanding the cast of his upcoming film ‘Superman’ with the addition of Mikaela Hoover and Christopher MacDonald. The duo will be joining David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane in the DC Studios movie currently in production in Atlanta.
Hoover will be taking on the role of Cat Grant, a character known for her gossip column and romantic interest in Kent. MacDonald, on the other hand, will be playing Ron Troupe, a top reporter in the newsroom who has ties to Lois Lane’s sister in the comics.
The star-studded cast also includes Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, and Wendell Pierce as Perry White. Additionally, the film will feature various DC heroes portrayed by Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Isabela Merced, Nathan Fillion, and MarÃa Gabriela de FarÃa.
Fans of Gunn’s previous works, such as ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and ‘The Suicide Squad,’ may recognize Hoover from her bit parts in those films. MacDonald, on the other hand, is a newcomer to the screen.
