Nita Ambani Recovers from COVID-19, Attends DAIS Graduation Ceremony
Nita Ambani, the founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, made a surprising revelation at the recent graduation ceremony of Dhirubhai Ambani International School (DAIS) in Mumbai. She announced that she had recently recovered from COVID-19, marking her first time battling the virus.
Despite her recent health scare, Ambani expressed her determination not to miss the important event. “I recovered from Covid this morning. My first time. And I wouldn’t have missed this graduation for anything in the world,” she shared with the audience on May 19 at the end of the school’s graduation ceremony for the class of 2024.
Ambani, who is also the chairperson of DAIS, emphasized the significance of witnessing her children graduate from the prestigious institution. “This means so much to me to see my children graduate and walk out of the doors of Dhirubhai Ambani International School,” she said.
A livestream video of the full event was shared on the school’s Facebook page, allowing a wider audience to witness the special moment. Ambani, who is married to billionaire Mukesh Ambani, celebrated her 60th birthday in November last year.
In other news, the Ambani family is gearing up for a grand pre-wedding celebration for their younger son Anant and his fiancée Radhika Merchant. The extravagant four-day event will take place on a luxury cruise ship in Europe, with a star-studded guest list including Bollywood celebrities, cricket icon MS Dhoni, and singer Guru Randhawa, who will be performing alongside American rapper Pitbull.
The festivities are set to kick off on Wednesday, May 29, with a welcome lunch in Palermo, Italy, followed by themed events like “Starry Night” and parties in cities like Rome and Cannes. The dress code for guests is “classic cruise” and “western formals.”
This lavish celebration comes after the first pre-wedding festivities hosted by Mukesh and Nita Ambani in Gujarat’s Jamnagar in March, which attracted a mix of Indian and international VIPs. The Ambanis are known for their extravagant events, and this upcoming wedding celebration is expected to be no exception.
