Ronny Jackson’s letter on Trump’s medical care post-assassination attempt released by Trump

Medical Update on Donald Trump’s Health Following Assassination Attempt at Campaign Rally

The recent assassination attempt on Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has sparked new revelations about the extent of his injuries and the care he has received. Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Tex.) shared a detailed letter outlining the medical treatment Trump has undergone since the incident at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

According to Jackson, Trump sustained a 2 cm wide wound on his ear that did not require sutures but still experiences intermittent bleeding. The wound, located on the cartilaginous surface of the ear, has been treated daily by Jackson, a former White House physician and close political ally of Trump.

The letter also shed light on the medical care Trump received at Butler Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania immediately after the assassination attempt. In addition to treating the wound, medical staff conducted a thorough evaluation for additional injuries, including a CT scan of Trump’s head.

The dressing on Trump’s ear, a white square of gauze, became a symbol of solidarity for his supporters, who sported makeshift bandages on their right ears during the convention. Despite initial swelling and bleeding, Jackson noted that the wound is healing properly.

Trump, in a speech accepting the Republican nomination for president, recounted the harrowing experience of narrowly escaping the assassin’s bullet. He described hearing a loud whizzing sound before feeling something hit his ear, which was covered in blood upon inspection.

Jackson mentioned that Trump will undergo further evaluations, including a comprehensive hearing exam, as needed. He will continue to provide medical assistance to the former president throughout the weekend.

Jackson’s previous praise of Trump’s health in 2018 came under scrutiny, and he was demoted by the Navy in July 2022 due to allegations of inappropriate behavior as a White House physician. Despite this, Jackson remains a staunch supporter of Trump in Congress.

The detailed letter shared by Jackson provides a glimpse into the medical care Trump has received following the assassination attempt, highlighting the ongoing support and treatment he continues to receive.
