Upcoming Weather Forecast: Showers and Storms Favoring Overnight Hours, Severe Weather Possible

Severe storms and heavy rain are expected to impact Oklahoma over the next few days, with the potential for up to 3 inches of rain by the middle of next week. The forecast indicates that most of the storm activity will occur overnight into the following morning, with the possibility of severe weather, including golf ball-sized hail and strong winds.

Tonight, showers and storms from New Mexico and Colorado will move eastward towards Oklahoma, with the potential for storms to arrive in western Oklahoma around 5:00 AM. Thursday will see morning storms passing through the state, with a slight risk of severe weather, including warnings for hail and high winds. The strongest storms are expected to arrive late Thursday night into Friday morning.

As the weekend approaches, temperatures will rise into the 80s and 90s, with isolated chances of storms continuing into early next week. Due to the high humidity, heat indices could reach the middle 90s.
