2024 NRL Telstra Premiership Season: Injuries, Suspensions, Return Dates, Casualty Ward, and Key Information

Rugby League Injury Updates

Maroons hooker Harry Grant was notably absent from Queensland’s first training session on Tuesday due to feeling unwell. The Storm star is expected to rejoin the team on Wednesday as they head to Sanctuary Cove for their traditional camp.

Meanwhile, Blues coach Michael Maguire is optimistic about injured halfback Nicho Hynes’s return to training with the team from the first session on Wednesday as New South Wales begins their camp in Katoomba. Maguire confirmed that Hynes had a scan that showed no further damage, and they are working towards him being able to train from day one.

In other NRL news, the Eels will see the return of star halfback Mitchell Moses and captain Clint Gutherson for their upcoming clash with the Sharks in Round 13. Moses will be playing for the first time since breaking his foot earlier in the season, while Gutherson returns from a minor knee operation after Round 8.

Additionally, Penrith welcomes back playmaker Brad Schneider from a knee injury ahead of schedule, and other frontline players like Toby Rudolf, Will Penisini, and Tom Chester are also set to make their return this week. Unfortunately, the Roosters have confirmed that Egan Butcher will miss the rest of the 2024 season due to a ruptured ACL.

On the injury front, Brisbane center Kotoni Staggs will be rested until Round 14 after suffering a fractured rib, while other players like Isaiah Papali’i, Will Warbrick, and Jack Bird are dealing with various injuries.
