Milwaukee Brewers Fall to Cubs 6-3 Despite Strong Start from Freddy Peralta

The Milwaukee Brewers faced a tough loss in the second game of their series against the Chicago Cubs, falling 6-3 despite a stellar performance from starting pitcher Freddy Peralta. Peralta pitched a strong game, allowing just one run and striking out 11 Cubs hitters over five and two-thirds innings. However, the Brewers struggled to capitalize on his efforts.

The lone run Peralta allowed came on a solo home run by Chicago’s Michael Busch. The game remained tied at 1-1 until the ninth inning when Willy Adames tied the game with an RBI single, only to be thrown out at second base.

After the game, Brewers manager Pat Murphy provided an update on Megill’s injury, confirming that it was not fractured but that Megill would be sore for a while. With injuries plaguing the Brewers’ pitching staff this season, including several starting pitchers on the injured list, Megill’s status moving forward remains uncertain.
