Club Marine Introduces Enhanced Boat Insurance Product with Industry-Leading Features
Club Marine Sets New Industry Benchmarks with Enhanced Boat Insurance Product
Club Marine has recently unveiled a series of enhancements to its boat insurance product that are set to revolutionize the industry and provide policyholders with greater freedom, flexibility, and clarity.
Following a thorough review of policy guidelines and terminology, Club Marine has tailored its insurance product to incorporate new boating trends and technologies. The company recognizes that many boat owners are now seeking to push the boundaries and explore new horizons with their vessels.
One of the key changes includes the rewording and restructuring of sections within the policy document to improve clarity. The language used is now more concise and accessible to the average reader.
Club Marine CEO Tim Wiles expressed his excitement about the revamped policy document, stating, “In the 65 years that Club Marine has been providing insurance for Australian boaters, this is one of the most important and exciting revamps of our policy document, in keeping with our long-held status as an industry leader.”
Some of the notable changes in the enhanced policy include clarified theft precautions, coverage for electric watersports equipment, extended coverage for boat tenders, and increased speed limits for personal watercraft. Yacht owners will also benefit from extended race distance limits and the removal of spinnaker restrictions.
Additionally, the new policy features amendments to liability rules for professional skippers/crews and transporters, making it easier for vessels to be relocated. Members who go five years without a claim will have their No Claim Bonus protected, and limits for various benefits such as Accidental Pollution and funeral benefits have been raised.
Industry representatives have praised Club Marine for its innovative approach to boat insurance. Southport Yacht Club General Manager Brett James commended the company for increasing racing distances and removing spinnaker restrictions, while JSW Powersports General Manager Tom Niederer applauded the simplification of policy wording.
Overall, the new enhancements to Club Marine’s boat insurance product are expected to streamline the insurance process and provide policyholders with greater peace of mind. The changes are already in effect and will be gradually implemented through the renewal process in the coming months.
