Today in Wales, the A4233 Maerdy Mountain Road in Rhondda Cynon Taf has reopened following a building fire that caused disruption earlier. The road had been closed in both directions between Church Street and Institute Street, but is now back in operation, according to Inrix.

In other traffic news, there is congestion on two main roads in south Wales this morning. The M4 J24 Coldra to J23A Magor traveling Eastbound and the A470 Nantgarw to Coryton traveling Southbound are both experiencing delays.

Meanwhile, all lines are currently blocked on the Taffs Well line, as confirmed by Transport for Wales. The disruption is expected to last until 9am, with rail replacement buses shuttling between Radyr and Pontypridd stations.

On a brighter note, the Met Office forecast for today predicts sunny spells and scattered showers in Wales. It will be brighter and a little warmer than yesterday, with isolated showers developing, some of which may be heavy in the afternoon. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 18°C.
