YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – A gas explosion in downtown Youngstown has left one person dead and another missing as of early Wednesday morning. The body of the missing man, a 27-year-old Chase Bank employee, was recovered at the scene, while the missing woman remains unaccounted for.
The explosion occurred just before 3 p.m. on Tuesday at the Realty building on E. Federal Street, causing chaos and evacuations in the area. Witnesses reported hearing a loud boom followed by smoke and the smell of gas, prompting emergency crews to respond quickly.
