Zelensky Claims China Trying to Undermine Ukraine Peace Summit
Ukraine has claimed a significant victory in its ongoing conflict with Russia, stating that its forces successfully hit an ultra-modern Russian warplane stationed on an air base nearly 600 kilometers away from the front lines. The strike targeted a Su-57 fighter plane, considered Moscow’s most advanced military aircraft.
Satellite photos shared by Kyiv’s main military intelligence service showed the aftermath of the attack, marking Ukraine’s first known successful strike on a Su-57. The attack comes as Western allies allowed Kyiv to use their weapons for limited strikes inside Russia.
In response to the escalating tensions, US President Joe Biden pledged support for Europe against Russia, stating that Vladimir Putin is not going to stop with the war in Ukraine. French President Emmanuel Macron also expressed solidarity with Ukraine during talks with Biden in Paris.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that the Russian army has failed in its Kharkiv offensive, which began almost a month ago. He emphasized that Ukrainian forces are doing everything possible to restrain the Russian push.
The strike on the Russian warplane and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine highlight the growing tensions between Russia and Ukraine, with global leaders closely monitoring the situation and offering support to Ukraine in its efforts to defend its sovereignty.
