Local Sheetz in Centre County to temporarily close for renovation

Sheetz Store in Centre County to Close for Complete Rebuild

The Sheetz store in Bellefonte, Pa., located at 2850 Benner Pike, is set to close this weekend for a complete rebuild. The closure is scheduled for July 7, with plans to reopen in December. The new store will feature a 6,139 sq. ft. building with a drive-through and a new car wash. Additionally, customers can expect inside and outside seating, as well as the ability to fuel 12 vehicles at once.

Nick Ruffner, spokesperson for Sheetz, mentioned that employees at the Bellefonte location will be offered positions at other nearby Sheetz stores during the reconstruction period. This decision to rebuild is not uncommon for the Sheetz chain, as they have previously completed full rebuilds of other stores in the region, including Selinsgrove, Lewisburg, and Williamsport.

Centre County residents will still have access to several other Sheetz locations in the area, including stores in Patton Township, State College, and near Bellefonte. The closure of the Bellefonte store marks an exciting new chapter for Sheetz customers in the region, with a modernized and upgraded store experience to look forward to.
