PM Modi’s Mega Roadshow in Kolkata: Traffic Advisory and Details
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to make a grand entrance in West Bengal with a mega roadshow in Kolkata ahead of the final phase of the Lok Sabha elections. The Kolkata Police has issued a traffic advisory to ensure smooth commuting during PM Modi’s poll campaign in the city.
The traffic advisory includes restrictions on the movement of all types of goods vehicles in certain areas of Kolkata on Tuesday and Wednesday. Vehicle parking will also be regulated or restricted during the specified hours to accommodate the Prime Minister’s visit.
The list of routes where vehicles will be restricted includes prominent areas like Red Road, Esplanade Row East, College Street, and BBD Bag East. Heavy goods vehicles will be restricted around Raj Bhawan, and vehicular traffic may be diverted from arterial roads as needed.
PM Modi’s itinerary in West Bengal on May 28 includes public meetings in Ashoknagar and Jadavpur, followed by a floral tribute to Subhas Chandra Bose. The highlight of the day will be a 2.5-km-long roadshow in Kolkata at 6pm.
