Warwick Dominates Section 9 Championships in Lacrosse, Track, and Golf
Warwick High School had a dominant showing at the 2024 Section 9 Championships, with victories in boys lacrosse, girls track and field, and boys golf.
In boys lacrosse, Warwick defeated Minisink Valley 17-7 to capture the Section 9 Class B championship. This win marked the sixth straight title for the Wildcats and the 10th overall as a program. Ryan Sullivan and Dylan Sullivan led the Warwick attack, with Ryan scoring four goals and Dylan adding three. Goalie Luke Solari had an impressive 20 saves in the game.
On the girls track and field front, Warwick’s Hannah Cann, Lily Beattie, Erin Smith, and Reagan Smith shined in the 400-meter relay, setting a new school record with a time of 49.09 seconds. Lily Beattie also won the pole vault by clearing 12 feet, six inches. The Wildcats will be competing in the Section 9 state qualifying meet to continue their success.
In boys track, Luke Beattie stood out by winning the 100-meter dash and the pole vault. His impressive performances helped Warwick secure top finishes in the competition.
Additionally, in girls golf, Gina Milazzo finished second in the Section 9 championships, earning a spot in the state championships. Warwick’s Quinn Boudreau also qualified for the state championships in boys golf with a strong showing at the Section 9 tournament.
Overall, Warwick High School showcased their athletic prowess across multiple sports, solidifying their reputation as a powerhouse in Section 9 sports.
