US Postal Service investigates Matthew Perry’s death in new ketamine probe

Investigation Launched into Matthew Perry’s Death by US Postal Inspection Service and Other Agencies

The mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of beloved Friends actor Matthew Perry have taken a new turn as the US Postal Inspection Service (USPS) and other agencies have launched a new probe into the case. Perry, who portrayed the iconic character Chandler Bing in the hit sitcom, was found dead in his hot tub at his Los Angeles home last October.

Initially, the coroner ruled that Perry died from the “acute effects of ketamine”, despite no drug paraphernalia being found at the scene and no signs of foul play. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) had closed its investigation after deeming the death accidental. However, recent reports suggest that police have now opened an “open investigation” into the source of the ketamine that led to Perry’s demise.

According to TMZ, the LAPD is collaborating with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the USPS to delve deeper into the origin of the ketamine found in Perry’s system. Postal inspectors are reportedly tracking packages to determine if the actor acquired any drugs through the mail. Investigators are also looking into who provided Perry with the ketamine and under what circumstances.

The LAPD stated, “Based on the Medical Examiner’s findings, the Los Angeles Police Department, with the assistance of the Drug Enforcement Administration and the United States Postal Inspection Service, has continued its investigation into the circumstances of Mr. Perry’s death.”

The autopsy report revealed that Perry had been clean for 19 months before his passing and had been undergoing ketamine infusion therapy to treat depression. Despite his efforts to stay sober, the actor tragically succumbed to the effects of the drug. The investigation aims to shed light on the chain of events that led to Perry’s untimely death and provide closure to his family, friends, and fans.
