Akriti Kakar describes chocolate as her personal antidepressant on World Chocolate Day

Akriti Kakar Celebrates World Chocolate Day: Indulging in Sweet Delights and Cooking Creations

Akriti Kakar, the renowned singer, has revealed her deep love for chocolate on World Chocolate Day in an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times. Kakar expressed that while she doesn’t have a sweet tooth, chocolate truly melts her heart and is something she cannot resist. Whether it’s a piping hot chocolate drink or a decadent chocolate cake, once she starts, it’s hard to stop. She even went on to describe chocolate as an antidepressant for her.

In addition to indulging in chocolate delicacies, Kakar enjoys experimenting with chocolate in her cooking. She often makes cookies and brownies, incorporating flavors like coffee, roasted almonds, banana, sea salt, berries, homemade caramel, or candied orange. According to Kakar, her gooey soft cookies fresh out of the oven have been a recent favorite in her household.

Despite her love for chocolate, Kakar is cautious about introducing it to her eight-month-old son, Mehraan. She wants him to stay away from processed sugar foods, including chocolate, for as long as possible. However, she admits that whenever there’s cake at home, Mehraan eagerly dives into it with his tiny hands, creating a mess in the process.

When asked about the impact of chocolate on her singing career, Kakar emphasized the importance of moderation. While chocolate serves as a mood lifter for her, she avoids consuming it on days when she has to sing due to its caffeine content.

Overall, Akriti Kakar’s love for chocolate shines through in her interview, showcasing her passion for the sweet treat on World Chocolate Day.
