Central Illinois Weather Forecast: A Quiet and Pleasant Week Ahead with Sunshine and Mild Temperatures
The weather forecast for Springfield and Central Illinois is looking quite pleasant for the week ahead. According to Chief Meteorologist Cheryl Lemke, a weak disturbance may bring a stray shower or spotty storm on Tuesday, but overall, expect mostly sunny skies and nice temperatures with highs in the upper 70s and lows around 54.
As we move into the middle of the week, high pressure will bring dry skies and abundant sunshine. Wednesday and Thursday will be gorgeous days with comfortable temperatures in the mid-70s. Friday will see a mix of sun and clouds with slightly warmer temperatures in the upper 70s.
However, the weekend may bring some unsettled weather with scattered showers and storms possible on Saturday and Sunday as another weather system moves through the Midwest. Temperatures will also be warmer and more humid, with highs in the low to mid-80s.
In Champaign and East-Central Illinois, Meteorologist Darren Leeds is forecasting a similar trend of pleasant weather with plenty of sunshine and average temperatures. High pressure will dominate the weather pattern, keeping conditions calm and cooler than average until the first weekend of June.
Overall, it looks like a great week ahead for both regions, so be sure to enjoy the nice weather while it lasts. And don’t forget to share your weather photos with us through our Chime In page!
