Meet Melanie Maggine: A Notre Dame Graduate Making Waves in Business

Notre Dame Graduate Melanie Maggine Finds Success in Business Development Role

Melanie Maggine, a proud graduate of Notre Dame’s Class of 2023, is making waves in the business world as a Business Development Representative at G2 in Chicago. Originally from El Paso, Texas, Maggine studied marketing through the Mendoza College of Business, with a Spanish supplementary major and an innovation and entrepreneurship minor.

During her time at Notre Dame, Maggine was actively involved in various business organizations and ND Listens, while also being a part of the vibrant community at Breen-Phillips Hall. Reflecting on her academic journey, Maggine shared, “I came in just knowing I wanted to do business. I decided to do marketing because it was creative and analytical.”

Now, in her role at G2, Maggine leverages the skills and knowledge gained from her Notre Dame education. She explains, “Sales is both creative and analytical just like marketing, but it’s a higher-stress environment and more competitive since you have a quota to reach.”

The Notre Dame alumni network has been a valuable resource for Maggine as she navigates her post-grad career. She emphasizes the importance of connecting with fellow alums to gain insights and guidance. “ND alums are always willing to help, which has been so fun. The best part about being post-grad is when students start to reach out to you as well and you can help them in the way others have helped you; so rewarding!”

Despite the passage of time since her graduation, Maggine still finds comfort and nostalgia in visiting the Notre Dame campus. She notes, “It still feels like home but also feels like a lifetime ago. Almost a frozen-in-time kind of quality.” With friends and family still nearby, Maggine has plenty of reasons to return to the place that she fondly calls home.

For those interested in learning more about Melanie Maggine’s journey at Notre Dame, she can be found on LinkedIn and has a YouTube channel where she documented her four years at the University. Her story serves as an inspiration to current and future Notre Dame students, showcasing the endless possibilities that await them after graduation.
