Severe Storms Target Texas Following Deadly Weekend Tornadoes

Severe Weather Threat Continues in Texas After Deadly Weekend Storms

The state of Texas is facing a renewed severe weather threat just days after a deadly tornado claimed the lives of seven people, including two children. The potential for dangerous storms looms over northern and central parts of the state, including major cities like Dallas, Austin, Waco, and Abilene.

Over the Memorial Day weekend, tornadoes wreaked havoc across five states, resulting in the tragic deaths of at least 23 individuals. The worst of the storms occurred on Saturday night, with more than a dozen fatalities reported in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kentucky. A second wave of severe weather on Sunday further added to the death toll.

Images of the devastation caused by the tornadoes show scenes of destruction at a Shell gas station and travel stop in Valley View, Texas, as well as possible tornado damage in Rogers, Arkansas. Survivors like Tommy Kerr from Cooke County, Texas, shared their harrowing experiences of enduring one of the worst storms they have ever witnessed.

As Texas braces for another round of severe weather, it serves as a stark reminder of the destructive power of nature and the importance of being prepared for such events. Stay tuned to FOX Weather for the latest updates and forecasts to stay safe during these turbulent times.
