Wrestler Bajrang Punia has made serious allegations against the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA), claiming that he is being targeted and that the agency wants to end his sporting career. Bajrang, a Tokyo Games medallist, was suspended by NADA for the second time on June 24, sparking a heated controversy.
The suspension came after Bajrang had initially been cleared by the Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel (ADDP) of NADA, only to be suspended again after the agency issued a formal notice. Bajrang alleges that NADA is targeting him for questioning their flawed system and for seeking answers regarding an expired sample collection kit that was sent to him in December 2023.
The wrestler, known for his multiple World Championship medals, has vowed to challenge NADA’s arrogance and fight for his rights. He expressed his determination to not back down and to continue wrestling despite the challenges he is facing.
